Sites I Like

You’re probably dying to know where I go when I’m surfing the web. Here’s a list of some of the places I go the most & like the best:

Sumnerand.com: This is the man in my life’s site. He’s a renaissance man and an artist. I like him A LOT.

Marciaisms.com: This is my friend Marcia’s blog, and she’s hilarious. She wrote THIS BOOK, too. You should read her blog & buy her book. Oh! And now she’s writing for Serious Eats about cocktails, too. She is busy!

KendraCannoy.com: Kendra Cannoy has been my trainer & friend for quite a while, and she’s recently shifted her focus to nutrition training and products. I write for her site every week, and I think she’s terrific!

ShannonKaye.com: My friend and sometimes-collaborator Shannon is an amazing resource for creative ways to use color. (You might remember her from DIY Channel’s “Fresh Coat.”)

RecordRevolution.com: My friend Chris started this site, and it’s going to be huge in the vinyl community. If you’re a vinyl nerd, you should go there NOW.

Christa Mae’s Amazon Page: My friend Christa released an album a while ago. She’s gracefully juggling a new marriage, a family, and keeping her musical ambition alive. I hope you’ll support her by downloading a track or two– I recommend “Diesel”!

LaVieSoleil.com & Justinsomnia.org: My friends Justin & Stephanie took a year off to travel the world, and they documented it all on their blogs. They’re back in the US now & every bit as interesting here as they are abroad!

BitchMedia: My friend Kelsey is the web editor for Bitch Media, formerly Bitch Magazine. She is hilarious, and she brings a fresh breath of humor to feminism. Check her out!

BethanyNauert.com: Bethany Nauert is an amazing photographer. Visit her site to see how I’m right!

TheKeyPrintingAndBinding.com: My friends Danya and Ivar have an amazing print and bindery operation in Oakland– like they’ve somehow opened a 19th Century print shop in the 21st Century. They do BEAUTIFUL work, and they’ve made all my best business cards.

PRosInTraining.com: This is the site my friend & mentor Kelli runs, sharing a lot of great PR information & stories for her students or anyone who’s interested. Very interesting stuff!

Logical-Insanity.com: My pal Elizabeth is a talented artist, and you can see her art here!

MotheringIsImprov.com: There’s a lot about this that I might live to regret, but I taught my mom to blog & she’s a terrific writer. Try to check her out without getting hung up on seeing me as a toddler…

GoFugYourself.com: I read this blog a lot. It’s hilarious! It wouldn’t be accurate to say that Heather & Jessica are my friends, or even people I know (yet), but I’m a fan!
